    I received this item promptly and it works very well. The nuvi doesn’t shake at all and the swivel fearture makes viewing easy. I don’t like the suction mounts for the dash because they will leave a permanant mark. The friction dash mounts are too bulky for my taste and I didn’t want to advertise a portable GPS by mounting on the windshield with a cord hanging down. It’s a nice uncluttered look and is a great alternative!

    I have been looking for a mount for my Garmin that doesn’t go on the window. In California and Minnesota its illegal and this mount was the perfect solution. I have bought mounts that attach to the air vent and those can be frustrating to attach and detach.
    This mount attaches securely to the lighter Socket and doesn’t move around. The integrated Power cable ensures that you don’t need the long Garmin power cable dangling around in your car.
    This works perfectly in the Toyota Camry, but may not work in every car model. It all depends on where the car has its lighter socket.
    I really love this mount. Its a great value and works so much better than most of the mounting solutions out there.

    I bought this in April of 09 and the USB power cable stopped working a couple of a weeks ago(Sept 09) so not a bad run for a sub 20 dollar product. I much prefer the lower concealed, out of the way look of the mount over the messy windshield suction cup or dashboard mounts.

    Pros:
    Mount and charger in one
    Adjustable
    Conceals GPS from other drivers if thats your thing
    Pretty sturdy

    Cons:
    Durability
    Wish the usb cable was a bit shorter so some of it didn’t dangle near my stick shift.

    I am ordering another one so I would definitely recommend this product.

    The same day I received it, the USB connection BROKE when I pulled it out of the GPS unit. What a total disappointment when I had such high hopes for this device. Great idea but obviously less then stellar build quality.
