This is really a great home theater system. Zero complaints. We’ve had it for over a month now and can’t say enough about it.

Purchased this product in Nov 08 and it has been nothing but a headache. First the sound quality from the speakers drops in and out. The load times for most blu-rays is over 5min if you are even lucky enough for it to work. I’ve sent the unit back to Samsung 3 times now and they have offered me an exchange for one of their new models. Their customer service is pathetic they have had my unit since july 13 and have finally today offered me an exchange after I have had to make phone calls daily to them because they have done nothing to resolve the issue. Also beware of CVE inc the company that Samsung contracts to do their warranty work the last time they supposedly “fixed” the unit it came back and as i removed it from the packaging you could hear what sounded like screws or other small components rolling around on the inside of the product. If I experience any of the same problems with the new model I will not be buying a Samsung product ever again.

It was of display item at BestBuy for $200 and it apparently plays Netflix so I was conceiving it for my bedroom. After trying it in a store I was horrified by the abysmal sound. It looks nice with double midrange speakers and tweeter in each speaker, kinda Harman Kardon’s style but the similarities end here. The fart this piece of junk produced has nothing to do with superb sound of HK speakers. It was so bad so I refused it even for 200. I own LG’s tv and blu-ray stuff and the sound out of LG is really first rate. My 60″ LG plasma tv produces AMAZING sound. I often prefer it to a theater system that I have as it is very clear on low volumes, very balanced and in general pleasurable. To my surprise Samsung is not even remotely close to LG’s expertise. I guess I will stay away from Samsung products in general. Sorry for a generalization. .

In addition to all the problems abive, here are some of my issues:
I bought this item specifically because I could match it with my Samsung LCD. Well, I have yet to get the Anynet+ set up to work. As a matter of fact, it sometimes turns the theater system off all on its own, and I have to get the remote to turn the sound back on again. Very frustrating.
Then, there is sound quality. As a home theater, sound is great. . . until it starts skipping. That flaw may come from somewhere else in the system, but ti still stinks. There is no way to adjust sound settings. You get what Samsung wants you to hear, and that is it. You certainly expect more from such an expensive system. By the way, don’t play your home music in it. . . it sounds awful.
Finally. . . looks. It looks great in the store. I brough it home and realized that the display faces up, so you have no idea how loud the system is, what input it is playing from, etc. . . and there is no display on the TV that tells you if sound is actually going up or down until the level in the room changes. Sounds silly, but it is nice to see a display on the device that tells you menu items, settings, etc.
Overall, I would return this system if I could. I got it from Best Buy and it is past the returns period. Needless to say, I have serious buyer’s remorse.

I bought this product, set it up, and it does not play my blu ray movies. The remote does not control the unit, the buttons on the front of the unit did not work. I reset the remote and upgraded the firmware on the unit and it still does not work The speakers worked fine though. I called Samsung support and they refused to service the system because all it is is a firmware problem which I have to wait 2-3 weeks for because it hasn’t been published on the website yet. This system is garbage, Samsung customer service is garbage, and I would strongly recommend purchasing another blu ray surround sound system and spare yourself the anger and frustration.
